As usual new Firmware notifications will be automatic, and system will prompt user of the presence of new updates once powered unit is connected to a Windows PC or Android devices or iOS devices with Internet connection active.
For those with Brain2/iKon2 that do not frequently use the APP/Software (because the flight controller unit is fine as it was set up), let’s take a look at what is coming with this update (for free) in addition to previous versions already released:
– Software: 3.4.116, Firmware: 3.4.116 (60°), 10 May 2023:
- Improvements, changes, and corrections to previous version 3.4.103 as per user suggestions and reports (ESC telemetry with F.Bus protocol, ESC telemetry with SUMD protocol, etc.)
- Improved serial communication of SYS port (using Remote USB or Wireless external or internal dongle) when simultaneously using Integrations which in this case are faster
- Added in the “Servo Setup (Output)” panel of the Wizard a new icon for Cyclic servo’s 760us/560Hz
- To better align the Windows app with Integrations and the Android and iOS apps, the “Common” and “Setup” tabs in the Advanced section have been more highlighted and the function of copying Setups moved to within a new “Utilities” tab
- If in ADVANCED the Tail center pulse is moved outside the max range, pressing the +/- button in panel 9 (Tail rotor setup) of the Wizard, reset the center value inside the limits
- New version 1.2 of “Ethos_Integration.zip” files (release notes inside zip file)
- Added in the Radio instructions related to standard receiver the inability to use the RPM2 and PWM functions
- Increased max value of “Tail Ratio” to be able to divide and display in DIAGNOSTIC very high Tail Motor (RPM2) values
- Message windows always remain in the foreground and can no longer be hidden by blocking the main windows functions until closed
- Added on the top of the Spektrum Bind message the title and revised the message content
- Renamed event “Auto Tests passed” to “All of the Self Tests passed successfully” (for people that ask for a full physical flight unit checkup after a crash)
- Changed some labels (EG: “Rotational Speed” => “Max Rotational Speed”, “Blades Names” => “Main Blades Names”, etc.)
- Revised French instructions
- New version of “README_for_ESC_datas_log_and_telemetry.pdf” document (“Tail Motor RPM2 & PWM” section)
- New version of “README_for_HoTT_telemetry_and_integration_for_BRAIN.pdf” document
- Improvements / optimization / compression / size reduction / speed up of the code
Android / iOS app’s:

For iOS revised the vertical size of the app for some iPhone devices
As usual for the Android and especially iOS app publication is needed some more time for Google & Apple test & approval
