As usual new Firmware notifications will be automatic, and system will prompt users of the presence of new updates once powered unit is connected to a Windows PC or Android devices or iOS devices with Internet connection active.
For those with Brain2/iKon2 that do not frequently use the APP/Software (because the flight controller unit is fine as it was set up), let’s take a look at what is coming with this update (for free) in addition to previous versions already released:
– Software: 3.4.308, Firmware: 3.4.308 (73° official release), 08 July 2026:
- Added reference to zero / center values on panel 5 “Transmitter Setup” of the Wizard and in the same panel in ADVANCED, section 2 “Receiver”
- Now in the ADVANCED, section 4 “Servos” it is also possible to adjust the Throttle Refresh Frequency
- Added for “Tail Motor Driven” one initial soft start to avoid tail abrupt movements at tail motor start
- When in panel 7 “Tail Motor Driven” icon is selected, going to successive panel 8 & 9, tail motor won’t start anymore
- In the rare instances where the “Support Request” feature does not work, a diagnostic log named “Support_Error_Log.txt” is generated and saved in the user’s Documents folder, which will help us determine the cause of the issue encountered by some users
- When the multi-protocol icon in Panel 3 of the Wizard is selected, the correct channels for the received protocol type are automatically assigned even if the power of the flight controller is turned off and on before turning on the transmitter, power the receiver and sending the signal to the flight controller
- In ADVANCED, for sections with three different Setup values, to make it clearer which Setup is currently active, in addition to coloring the labels ‘Setup 1’, ‘Setup 2’ and ‘Setup 3’ green, a green horizontal bar now also appears for the active Setup
- Some fixes have been made to the Vibrations panel in the DIAGNOSTIC section to address abnormal situations (such as when a file is loaded that contains no vibrations, or when clearing the screen resets the graph data even if data are abnormal and out of range)
- Added in the “Model” curtain of panel 1 of the Wizard the item “XLPower Stratos 200 Electric” that once selected preset all the required configuration values needed (as usual, this happen only if the Flight Control Unit is in “Factory default” without any other parameter changed)
- Added in the “Tail Servo” curtain of panel 1 of the Wizard the item “Tail Motor Driven”
- Added in the “Cyckic Servos” curtain of panel 1 of the Wizard the item “XLPower DS4208”
- Added in the “Motor Control” curtain of panel 1 of the Wizard the item “ESC with KISS Protocol”
- Changed preset values for 155-255 blade size model. Almost all small-scale models currently on the market now feature carbon blades instead of plastic ones, much stiffer rotor heads as well as servos that are much faster than they used to be and have much quicker response times and tend to self-oscillate easily
- New version 32 of “Brain2OpenTX-EdgeTX.zip”, “Brain2crossfire.zip”, “Ethos_Integration.zip”, “Brain2Jeti.zip” and updated “Spektrum Integration” & “Graupner Integration” adding regulations for:“FailSafe Idle value” for Throttle (combustion engines), Throttle Output Refresh Frequency, Regulations of the Servo Aux (CH4 output signal) parameters, increased all the servos regulations to be able to use also Futaba UR servos
- A slight reduction in the initialization time of the flight control units
- Added some functions in the firmware for diagnostic purposes to facilitate and speed up diagnosis and technical support to users who request it
- Corrected, improved, updated, and made some label and some title and some paragraphs of the instructions and balloons clearer and/or more complete
- New version of the embedded document “README_for_ESC_datas_log_and_telemetry.pdf”
- New version of the embedded document “README_for_OpenTX_EdgeTX_integration_for_BRAIN.pdf”
