Thanks :). The only reason I wanted to use my 8020T was simply because I have one to use. But I also have some 4649T's so I can use one of them instead. Is there a big difference in operation between the 4649T and the 4651T?
The main difference between the old 4649T receivers (no longer in production and no longer in the catalog) and the new 4651T, is the new serial protocol SRXL2 used for communication with the flight control units. This protocol allows to connect on the same bus (by means of simple Y-couplers in cascade) other devices that communicate with the new SRXL2 protocol such as, for example, the Spektrum Avian/Firma ESCs or telemetry sensors with SRXL2 bus (even if for the moment Spektrum sensors that communicate with this new protocol are not yet available).
According to Spektrum, the new receivers also have an increased range for ground transmission of telemetry signals. However, it must be stressed that telemetry signals are not essential for the flight of the model and if some telemetry frames are lost, nothing happens.
However, it is essential for both types of receivers (4649T & 4651T) that they are updated with the latest available firmware. For this you need the appropriate Spektrum USB stick.
Hi. I have problem with ar6610t receiver via srxl2 protocol. It's connected to Brain2 CH3 with "Bind/Prog/SRXL" receiver port. But spm4650 with same connection works good. Brain2 and ar6610t(2.35) FW is updated. Also, ar6610t works good with Spirit2 fbl. So, there is can be only one reason, in Brain FW. I really want to assemble the heli as fast as possible, so I'm ready to help you find the problem: may be you need signal capture with logic analyser, or something else.

Doing a simple search in this forum of the keyword "6610" you will find not only that there are already a lot of information and answers to your questions and doubts, but also useful tips and advice for the best connection of these types of receivers with the next firmware release, such as in these two posts:
