in the wizard when setting cyclic pitch to about 10 degrees. Is that for the fbl algorithm or just a safe number for cyclic pitch?

i have a specter v2 with cyclic pitch set to 10 degrees and my rates on 3d default (420 deg/s). When logging i see i get 340 deg/s for roll and 270 deg/s for flip.

I like the way if flies but would like to understand how to make it flip faster.

i'm curious for a more definitive answer on what to change to tweak this.

do I:

1. increase cyclic pitch more as long as there isn't binding?

or

2. increase cyclic ring in advanced menu?

thank you for the help.

did some more digging on helifreak.

i read from you, that 10 degrees is the set reference for the brain.

looking at the software. should i be increasing the "aileron out max" and "elevator out max" to increase achievable rates?

aileron/elevator out max is tied directly to cyclic measurement in the wizard. I've increased to 11 degrees, we'll if it helps the issue.

Have you tried Feed Forward, when I was working on finding a nice Rates, I then with FF set ie bank2 to 0% FF and bank3 to 99% FF and then tuned FF down from here 99%.

Good call. That makes perfect sense. I'll look at logging too to see if I can log set point. I've come to love rotorflight black box for this exact reason.

no setpoint. you could back it out from stick position taking account for expo. But simplest way is going to be to do full stick deflection rolls and flips.

i've learned i really like 300 deg/sec, so it's pretty manageable.

yea what I have with bank 3 @ 300 deg/sec and does continues flips/roll nice though on a separate switch I use pitch expo mixed with pitch pump, gives a nice kinda feel of anti gravity.
