Hi, I recently plugged my brain 2 units to my laptop and software asked for upgrade to latest 3.4.045 version.

After upgrading the firmware, I am not able to update values in brain 2 unit using opentx integration.

Also reading the values from brain 2 is slower than previous version.

please see the video

My setup:

Brain 2, R-XSR receiver, TX-16S with edgetx firmware

open tx integration with S-Port

In addition to updating the firmware in the flight control unit you also need to update the LUA application in the transmitter after downloading the new version. Have you done it? You can download it via the Help menu of the Windows app or from the download section of our website.

Ok that solved the main problem of updating values.

But the values are still reading slower than previous version.

The current, new, latest version of the LUA app is version n°16.
What is the firmware version of the flight controller and the version of the LUA app you were previously using that you found to be faster?
Newer firmware versions transmit more and more telemetry parameters and the time between the completion of the transmission of all telemetry parameters and the Integrations responses is slightly higher in the latest versions (but it is a minimal increase not significant). But also the number of adjustable flight control unit parameters that have to be listed, displayed and transmitted with integrations keeps increasing with each new firmware.

On page 1 of the Wizard under "Transmitter Type", we see that you have not selected either FrSky or RadioMaster. Can you select the brand of transmitter you are using?
What is the firmware version of your receiver? Have you recently updated it to the latest version provided by FrSky?
What is the firmware version of your transmitter's ISRM radio transmission module? Have you updated to the latest version 2.2.1?
From your configuration file that you sent as an attachment to your first post, we can see that you are using the old S.Port+S.Bus communication protocol between receiver and flight control unit.
Have you tried to configure your receiver and the Flight Control Unit to use the newer F.Port protocol?
The F.Port protocol uses a faster frame rate and a faster baud rate than the old one. If it's speed you are interested in, using the F.Port protocol you should see a significant improvement.

I don`t remember the versions but I`m talking about 2021 summer season, whatever firmware version was active at that time.

I also don`t know my receiver firmware version, I don`t remember what version I flashed and I don`t think I can find out. If I narrow down to this being the issue I can update to latest no problem. Or most likely I`ll update to f-port version anyway.

My transmitter module is indeed older but the latest version of Radiomaster internal module is 1.3.3.7. What do you mean with 2.2.1?

As for the f-port upgrade, I`ll probably do it when I find the time but for now I just want to have my current setup to work as it was last season.

With the S.Port protocol (+S.Bus) with which data travels at 56Kb the data flow travels at half the speed compared to the new F.Port / F.Port2 / F.Bus protocols with which data travels at twice the speed (112Kb). For this reason the integrations with S.Port are slower than the new protocols.
However, if you are convinced that with the old flight controller firmware the integration was faster and you are not interested in receiving the new telemetry data, you are not interested in the new controller features and the improvements introduced with the new firmware, nobody prevents you from loading the old firmware into the flight controller. Just go to the File menu, use the function "Manual Firmware Upload ..." and select one of the older firmwares.

Updating the internal multi protocol module to 1.3.3.7 seems to have fixed the speed problem. thanks for the help.

As for F Port, do you know if FrSky R-XSR  (flashed with F Port firmware) receiver is compatible and works well with Brain2 OpenTX integration?

I`m not expecting problems but just to be sure.

Great!
The suggestion we made to upgrade the internal ISRM RF module to 2.2.1 was for FrSky radios. You rightly upgraded the internal RF module of your RadioMaster transmitter which is a different multi-protocol module.
Good job!

The last firmware that we have successfully tested with R-XSR is the 2.1.7 ACCESS tested with FrSky transmitters.
