Hi All, I have a FRSKY Tandem X18S radio ( running Ethos version 1.4.9)and an Archer RS receiver. I am about to purchase a Brain 2 Flybarless controller. But this is all new to me and I need to be sure that this will work? How do I connect the Brain 2 to the receiver? I apologise in advance for what is probably a simple question, but I need some guidance on this before I purchase.

We suggest you download from the Downloads section of our website, the Windows app installer and install it in your PC.

The interface app also works in Demo Mode without flight control units connected. You just need to select the model of the flight controller you intend to purchase and have the app "emulate" it.

This way you can familiarize yourself with the operation of just the ten panels of the Wizard needed to do the complete setup of the flight controller, your transmitter, and the model's mechanics (there are then other panels in the Wizard as well but they are related to auxiliary features).

This way you can also start reading all the instructions for our flight controllers that are "embedded" in the apps so that they are always kept up-to-date and do not force users to have to download them together with each update. The instructions are dynamic and change according to the selections made as you configure the previous panels. For example, the connection scheme shown in panel 4 is automatically chosen from the hundred available based on the type of unit used and according to the choices that were made in the previous panels. In the MANUALS section of the App you can find some PDF document related to the optional functions (Telemetry, Dials, Integration).

Regarding your question, with FrSky transmitters you can choose from three different protocols for receiver communication with our units. In your case (Archer RS receiver) we suggest that you select in panel 3 of the wizard (Receiver Protocol Selection) the Standard F.Port protocol, make the connection as shown in panel 4 below, and select from the transmitter the same F.Port protocol to be used in the Archer RS receiver.
