Today I wanted wanted to swap the (working and often flown) 4649t for the new 4651t. At first I realized, that the pinout is different between the two. So I made a cable from the servo connector to the 4 pin of the 4651t. (black=minus; light brown=+; brown=signal; grey= not connected)

Now I am not able to get it into bindmode via the brain software. I can bind it via the bindbutton on the 4651t, but then it seems not to "talk" to the brain as I am not able to steer anything despite it's bound. Also I get no telemetry data from my ESC.

Unfortunatly I have no adapter to check the firmware version on the 4651t - I assume there is no old firmware in existence, because this receiver is brand new.

Any suggestions? Do you need more info?

Setup is: Kontronik Kosmik 200, Brain 2 BT, 4651t, Spektrum DX9 Black

Cheers,

Daniel

I got it to bind now! 🙂

Is it correct to choose new HOTT SRXL as receiver type? There were some channels wrong but after correcting that, everything seems ok now.

Appreciate your feedback! 🙂

I'd say so.
It also says in the side instructions which icon to use to receive the new SRXL v2 protocol.
The correct channels are automatically assigned if after changing the receiver type icon, the receiver is binded and the signal is received without shutting down the unit during these operations.

Horizon Hobby sells the right cable for these new receivers here:

Thanks for the info. In the side instructions, it also says "Not Spektrum" - which is a bit misleading.

Telemetry works better now. I can see antenna fades on the main receiver and and on the sat. Perfect!

We're glad that the new receiver satisfies you more than the previous one.

Thank you for the report (it doesn't say "Not Spektrum" but "oldest Spektrum rx" referring for example to the old AR7700 or AR9020 with unidirectional SRXL output and without telemetry). We will try to clarify this in the next releases).

it doesn't say "Not Spektrum

I am on the german Android version. So maybe that's lost in translation. (When comes the MAC software? Everybody is on mac these days...)

In the receiver menu you have 4 icons with Spektrum logo. But the right one is without Spektrum logo and it says SRXL on it - not SRXL2. I think, if you put a Spektrum logo and SRXL2 on the button it is more obvious.

Anyway - thanks for listening! You were really helpful, I appreciate that very much. Keep on the good work! 🙂
