Upgraded yesterday my Spektrum DX8e to new Airware. Now I cannot start the Spektrum integration as the Telemetry Window doesnot show the textGen anymore.

On Spektrum Receiver there I cans ee that TextGen is working nicely, but nevertheless I cannot enter the start menue of Brain ;-(

Are there any tricks or settings needed to open up again ?

Extract of Spektrum Airware changelog:

Added Priority Monitor control to the Telemetry Settings screen so that
developers using SRXL2 can see that their telemetry data is sent properly.    -> Here I can see that TextGen is active !
• Removed “TextGen” as an option on the Telemetry devices list. If TextGen is
being provided by your Flight Controller or ESC, it will appear automatically on
the list of roller screens, making configuration simpler. Otherwise, it will
automatically be hidden.

You probably can already find an answer in to the Answer to the Queston 23 of the FAQ section.

Check in the transmitter telemetry setup of your tranmitter that "Text Gen" is active. We do not have a DX8e to be able to make checks but in the iX12 "text Gen" was recognized and saved together with the other temeletric parameters but it was not activated and had to be activated manually (and then save the change).

Also verifies that the ATVs of the channels were not moved / changed.
Going to panel 5 of the software, you will see the following values +100% or -100% or 0% in the respective channels as in this image:

I know this settings.

The problem is, that the menue on transmitter is even not displayed - TextGen was removed from Telemetry Menue - I cannot select and it is not added.

The reference is that it will be automatically displayed - which is not.

Even if one or more temetric parameters are not activated automatically by the automatic "Auto Config" procedure, the telemetric parameters can still be activated maually in the free slots.

Correct, BUT not the TextGen - this is removed from the selection when you can select items in telementry screens ;-(

This is exactly what is written in the changelog, but there is no automatic recognition on the spektrum transmitter for the integration.

Reverted my transmitter back to Airware 2.05, and Brain Integration is here again.

So please do not update for now when you like to use the Brain setting via transmitter

Thank you for your report.
We saw that a version of Airware 2.06 has been released also for DX9 (unfortunately the Airware developers didn't warn us about this release sending us the beta version) and after trying it we actually found the problem you reported.
In the Spektrum "Change Log" PDF it says:

Removed “TextGen” as an option on the Telemetry devices list. If TextGen is
being provided by your Flight Controller or ESC, it will appear automatically on
the list of roller screens, making configuration simpler. Otherwise, it will
automatically be hidden.

But instead the Text Gen page of Brain2 Integration is not displayed.
The strange thing is that in the Airware 2.06 a new "Priority Monitor" page has been added to the telemettry pages where it is clearly visible that our Brain2 controllers are regularly transmitting the "Text Gen" data but the page don't "... appear automatically on list of roller screens":

immagine

However, it is strange the inconsistency that the Priority Monitor page displays only 7 sensors, when the telemetry setup page allows to manage up to eleven sensors (and Brain2 with some ESC types uses all 11 sensors).

In addition to this we also noticed that with "Auto Config" all sensors emulated and transmitted by Brain2 controllers are no longer recognized. For example RPM, Volt, Temperature sensors are not found even if they are regularly transmitted and recognized by the previous version of Airware. With version 2.06 you have to insert them manually in the free slots.

We have already reported problems to the Spectrum developers and are waiting for an answer. In the meantime stay with version 2.05 of Airware and do not update to the new version.

Thanks

Monday 14 september Spektrum released the Airware version 2.07.03 and the integration is finally working again.

The only "nuisance" is that now "Auto-Config" automatically and by default activates the "Smart Battery" sensor which adds three useless telemetry pages (which appear only after switching the transmitter off and on again and are all three without any useful data) even if the new Smart batteries are not connected and used.

Therefore, after an "Auto Config", the "Smart Battery" sensor must be deactivated manually.
It should be left on only if you are using Spektrum Smart Battery but only if together a new Spektrum ESC (Avian or Firma).

In addition, "Auto Config" no longer recognizes and no longer automatically activates the sensors:
- RPM
- Voltage
- Temperatures
Which must be added manually (remember for the RPM sensor to set 10 in the sensor reduction ratio) in order to display this page as well:
