I have a Kontonik Jive 80+ HV. Does it work with the Brain 2 gov.

If yes I take it all I have to do is deactivate the gov in the kontronik, active gov in Brain2 & plug esc into channel 1.

Yes, the governor of the Brain2 flight controller works "also" with the old Kontronik ESCs.

Correct what has been written about the need to deactivate the ESC governor (Airplane mode) because two governors cannot be active at the same time and they would conflict with each other causing RPM oscillations.

I am in the process of setting up the governor and have noticed that the RPM do not show in the software, but I do have it on the radio Telemetry (Horus x12s).

ESC is kontronik Jive

Red wire plugged into channel 5

Governor speeds turn green at each speed setting

Nothing plugged into Gov channel

Older Jive ESCs (as well as other ESCs) do not have a motor rotation pulse output and in these cases one of the many RPM sensors for electric motors available on the market should be used and connected to the GOV port of the flight controller.

The RPM signal transmitted by telemetry is not read and sent with sufficient speed to be used in governor control.
