Before pairing to any of my Android devices, I used my PC and USB cable to rename the Brain 2 and revise the PIN.

I then disconnected the PC and paired the Crius to my Android device, and opened the Brain Configuration App on my device. But the Crius adapter is still called CRIUS, and the PIN is the default 0000. Is it possible to rename the Crius adapter and revise the PIN using Brain software? If not, can you point me to resources that allow me to do this? I'm slightly concerned when I go to a fun fly and accidentally connect to someone else's Crius adapter or vice versa.

I have another older heli with a Brain 2 BT, where I was able to rename it and revise the PIN. I understand the internal BT device inside that unit is different than the external Crius in the other unit.

But on the tablet, when I clicked on Recorded Logs, a new window popped up, entitled Brain Diagnostic(only Brain2/iKon2).

See picture. In the picture, you can see the Brain Configuration App in the background. It seems to be prompting me to purchase an additional Brain Diagnostic app for Android. I was unaware of this Diagnostic app, and I can't find any information on it online nor in the Google Play Store. I can only find information for the configuration, which I was already using when this window popped up.

I thought I could view recorded logs on the configuration app over bluetooth, like I can on my PC over USB cable.

Can you tell me more?

cut-outs of the Motor, and random, but extreme jittering of all the Servos.

The Helicopter is as follows:
SAB Kraken S 700
Graupner MZ-32 Tx and GR-16 Rx
KDE 700XF 535 Motor
Hobbywing 200A Opto V4.1 brand new, I literally just opened it. I bought it 10 years ago for another project.
Graupner HCM860 BB MG x3 - Cyclic
Graupner HCM880 BB MG x1 - Tail
Rx Battery is Turnigy 2S 2600 MAH direct to Ikon2 HD
Flight Batteries are 2x Turnigy 6S 5500 MAH

The Ikon2 HD is mounted on the elevated FBL Platform (using the 4 provided Rubber Soft Mounts), and the SAB Manual recommended 2mm of Mounting Tape. I used the two Squares of the MSH provided Tape.

ESC Telemetry is showing in Transmitter, via Rx Telemetry output.

Hobbywing SCM Module used between ESC and Ikon2. "P" Side Voltage and Ground on the output of the SCM is supplied by the GOV Port + and - Pins. The Output "P" Wire from the SCM is in Pin 5 of the 4-5-6 Port. Output from Data Port of ESC to SCM provides ESC Voltage and "P" Signal to ESC Input side of SCM.

The GOV Wire, (Orange) from the HW ESC Throttle Wire (4 wire bundle) is in Ikon2 GOV Port, other three Wires (Connector) are in CH-1 for Throttle Control.

The Motor is responding to Governor Settings, which were set at 1800, 1900, and 2000. Motor Temp on the Bench is 138 Deg. ESC Temp is 86 Deg.

ESC is in Airplane Mode, Voltage Cutoff and Active Freewheel are Disabled. Startup Power is set to 1. Other settings are either defaults or adjusted as necessary for this setup.

I'm beginning to think either the KDE Motor is giving off too many Vibrations, and that there is also possibly an issue with the Hobbywing V4.1 ESC, despite it being on their latest Firmware. I have read about these issues in Helifreak, regarding the 200A Ver 4.0 ESC, but I believe the issues were not fixed in the Ver 4.1 ESC either. Can you confirm either way please, before I spend money for a new Motor and ESC? Something in this setup is giving me fits, and I'm not sure if it's a single point of failure, or multiple issues. Please let me know if you need any other Logs or something specifically done to diagnose this. Thank you very much, in advance.

**EDIT** I just re-ran the Test with the Real-Time Analysis, and this is the XML File for that. None of the Sticks were touched. The only thing I changed during this Test was the Governor Speed, with the IU Switch. The Motor Temp never surpassed 153 Deg F, and the ESC never went over 98 Deg F.

I also ordered a Crius BlueTooth module, which has not yet arrived.

I did notice that the cable does not have the same wire color order at both ends, and the connectors are slightly different shapes. It's clear to me which end is to be plugged into the Brain 2 sysport, and which is plugged into the Crius.

My question: since the color order is different, is the end that plugs into the Crius in the correct color order? That end is: black, green, red, yellow.

Brain2 firmware: 3.4.275

Mechanical checks I've done:

Swashplate is level — pitch measured at multiple rotor positions using the Brain2 Swashplate Setup page (with the software commanding the servos to the zero-pitch position) reads 0° ±0.15°.

No tracking issues visible in hover — blades are running in the same plane.

Heli is balanced (nose and tail weigh the same).

Transmitter is confirmed sending center pulse with stick at neutral.

Issue 1 — Constant backward drift in hover:

The heli has a persistent tendency to pitch nose-up during hover. It's a small but noticeable drift — after 3–4 seconds of hands-off hover, the heli starts moving backward. This happens regardless of wind direction. I don't experience this behavior on other helis flown at the same location under the same conditions.

Issue 2 — Oscillations in forward flight (main concern):

I'm seeing two distinct oscillation behaviors during forward flight:

(a) Slow pitch oscillation ("porpoising"): During fast forward flight, the heli exhibits a slow, lazy nose up-and-down oscillation, similar to a dolphin swimming. This gets worse with increasing speed. To address this, I reduced both the elevator P-gain and I-gain by 5 points (from 60 to 55). This seems to have resolved the porpoising.

(b) Fast vibration at the tail boom: During moderate-speed forward flight — for example, coming out of a fast banked turn — the tail end of the heli vibrates rapidly. It's difficult to tell from the ground whether the movement is in the pitch axis (tail moving up and down) or in the yaw axis (tail moving side to side), since the vibrations are quick and the heli is far away. However, the movement appears more likely to be in the pitch axis — as if rapid, small elevator commands were being applied, causing the nose to oscillate up and down and the tail to follow in the opposite direction. This vibration got worse after I lowered the P and I gains. It's worth noting that the flights where it worsened were on a windy day, so that may be a factor, but the wind conditions were nothing unusual for a 700-class heli.

Logs:

I'm attaching the flight logs I have. Note that I changed some logged parameters between flights while trying to address the porpoising, so the earlier logs may reflect different gain settings. If it would help, I can perform additional flights this weekend with specific parameters logged — just let me know what you'd like to see.

Thanks in advance for the help. undefined

Hi,

I have a brain 2 HD on a goblin 580 raw

ESC is Castle Creations 120HV, using 6s config on the heli

I am also using Radiomaster 16S Mkii, and have a native 4 in 1 module. I bound the unit with 2 Spektrum DSMX satellites

I updated the Brain2 ( and my PC app) to latest Software release for unit an app on first boot today

I have verified that the Brain2 bound correctly, as 3 cyclic and rudder servos are functioning as expected when unit is powered up

I have verified that my ESC throttle input cable is correctly plugged into channel 1 on the Brain, and not inverted, wrong pins, etc.

I have verified that I am not on throttle hold

I have verified that the channel monitor is outputting signal from radio perspective.

After the Brain 2 finishes initializing. the swash is responsive, but the ESC LED blinks continuously, indicating either non valid zero signal for off, or is getting no signal at all

In an attempt to verify anything is coning out of the brain2 on throttle, I hooked up a servo to channel 1 and it did not move - indicating to me that perhaps no signal is present on this channel - I also verified that servo worked (also tried disconnecting one of the functioning Cyclic servos and moved it into Channel 1) - both test failed to move servo

I have tried numerous throttle curves including 2 point linear (-100 to 100) - 0 to 100, ramp to 60% etc - nothing works

I have tried setting ESC into calibration mode by powering up heli with throttle stick full forward and also, nothing happens

I have tried moving throttle stick to various positions and leaving for 30+ seconds and nothing works

ESC is behaving as if n throttle signal is coming from Channel 1

I am out of ideas and lost - any help is appreciated

Joe

Hi, I need help analyzing the vibrations on my helicopter (TREX 700 GASSER). I did a long test flight where I tried various rpms and noticed that the vibrations were lower at 1900 rpm, but there were moments where the global vibrations reached 500. Mechanically, the helicopter is fine, and the blades are tracking correctly. Do you have any idea what might be causing the vibrations?
Also, during hovering, the helicopter tends to tail down; I can't achieve a steady, stable hover.I've attached the log and current configuration. Thank you
